How To Build An Elevator In Minecraft – How To Build A Minecraft Navy Base
2 parts: Create the baseCreate the lift
You can build buildings as big as you want in How To Build A Minecraft Navy Base But when you make huge buildings, climbing the stairs can take time! Thanks to the use of redstone powder, you can now climb big buildings in no time by building a lift!
Create the base
- Dig a hole. The dimensions of this hole should be 4 x 2 and 2 deep blocks. This is where you start building your redstone elevator.
- Place blocks in a corner. Put pavers so that they form an arrow in one of the corners. Add another block above the “tip” of the arrow.
Create the base of the elevator. Put a redstone torch on the raised block and on the one in front of it (in the width direction).
- Put some redstone powder on the other block.
- Place a repeater in the empty space in front of the pad with the redstone torch and another repeater in the empty space in front of the block covered with redstone powder. Attention: the two repeaters must not be side How To Build A Minecraft Navy Base by side, but offset (the last one must be higher).
- Connect the two repeaters by spreading redstone powder over the remaining three squares.
Create the elevator
Add a repeater. Outside the hole, place a repeater on the ground, right next to the lowest pad that carries a torch. Add a block above this pad. The repeater you just placed should light up.
- Place a block to the left of the repeater you have just put, then add two blocks glued to each other just to the right of the pad with a redstone torch (pad corresponding to the arrowhead of the very first blocks that you have placed).
Then add blocks on the two blocks farthest from the hole. Add as much as you need to reach the height you want to give your elevator. Make sure the two columns obtained are the same height.
- Place a paver above the redstone torch on the point of the arrow How To Build A Minecraft Navy Base
- Place a repeater on the pad between the one you just put and the column. You must see the repeater you just turned on.
Add pavers. Place a pad on top of the repeater on the floor next to the other column. Then add blocks along this column, leaving a space between each block.
- Repeat this operation on the other side, putting the first block above the repeater and leaving, again, a space between each block you add. The blocks on each of the columns should not face each other, but be offset, so as to form a kind of giant zipper. On the last block you have placed, add another block to fill the void.
- Add repeaters to the blocks you just placed (in any blanks you left).
- Add new pavers. Place a block on the repeater and another block on the block with redstone powder over the hole you have dug (the two blocks must be glued to each other). Then add more pavers on the two that you just put until you reach the height you have chosen for your elevator.
Place pavers on the other side of the wall. Now place zigzag pavers on the other side of the wall in the middle of the zipper pattern you previously made. Fill in the empty spaces at the top of your elevator with pavers.
- As long as you are on this side of the wall, place redstone torches in each of the empty spaces you have just left (and which must also be zigzag shaped), by putting them directly on the wall.
Add pavers and redstone powder. Put pavers in front of the redstone repeaters on the front of the wall. Add a line of pavers at the top of the elevator. After that, put some red stone powder over the pavers you just placed in front of the repeaters. Put on all the empty spaces on this side of the wall.
- Put blocks next to all the spaces where you just placed redstone powder.
- Finally, put redstone torches in the empty spaces on which there is no redstone powder. Make sure you put them directly on the wall and not on the pavers.
